The INfluence.
After months of pursuing my own path, I received a divine command from God to bring forth the very thing He had placed in my heart in mid-2017. I recalled an old friend who started a blog about her journey with Christ, and I asked if I could contribute. She graciously agreed, but when I suggested starting a blog together, God had different plans. Seeking His will, I prayed for a name and He revealed "The Influence" to me. Though uncertain of its meaning, I committed to obediently sharing what God laid on my heart. I remained consistent for two years, faithfully sharing His messages. However, life's challenges took over, and I paused. Yet, I was continually reminded that I am "The Influence."
Later, I completed my graduate program in psychotherapy at the University of Tennessee, with the goal of starting my own private practice. God then instructed me to create "The Influential Wellness Corner." While initially confused about the purpose of a platform where I couldn't ethically practice therapy, I was determined to find a way to share my gifts while maintaining ethical standards. I created an Instagram page and a website, which garnered positive responses. However, I felt that it didn't fully reflect who I am or the assignment God gave me; instead, it emphasized my credentials. I found my posts repetitive and similar to countless other therapists online. Seeking authenticity, I stopped posting and focused on my relationship with God. During this time, He stretched me in ways I didn't understand, prompting others to ask if I was still writing or planning to write a book, acknowledging my writing abilities, and suggesting I share on YouTube.
Now, I am fully embracing the birthing process of "The Influential Wellness Corner," which God graced me with in 2017. It is a space curated by His hands, where individuals can come as they are, seen, heard, and accepted. My hope is that in this small corner of the world, amidst countless influences, you will be impacted in a way only God can provide. Through transparency, personal experiences, life lessons, and blessings, I aim to share my authentic self, serving as a reminder that God is good and what is meant for you will never pass you by. Yes, I am a therapist, an exceptional one, as I was created for this purpose. However, I am more than that. I am just like you, a child of God, endeavoring to fulfill His will for my life on this earth.
